I still remember that in 1970 while at IIT Delhi Subramaniam Swami took one subject of Managerial Economics and I can’t forget one lecture where he stressed only this point that management persons forget that power (in their position) is not acquired by then due to their rank or position in hierarchy but it’s given to them by the people below him who allow him to exercise that power. If people below your position refuse to allow u then soon your power will be gone/taken away from you.
